Decorating the Tree with Spritz Cookies
Yesterday I took on Spritz cookies. Delicious but extremely hard and time consuming. I started the little project at 11.00 and finished at 3.30! What happened was the way the spritz cookie maker works is it pushs it out but if theres nothing to stick to it will just stay in the maker-I was using parchment paper so it didn't stick! But my brother shed some light on the subject and it all worked out in the end. Plus they were much apreciated so that makes it all worth it! Then today we decoated the tree with my little nephew Ben! Well I've got to go Ba-Bye!

Halloween Party
Little ben dressed up as Albert Einstein! |
On Halloween we had a party With a few friends and some family. ( Including my nephew Benjamin. ) We had dinner which was a whole bunch of stuff including Chile, corn chowder, bread, cinnamon jello, owl cupcakes, and many other things. Anyways afterwards we trick or treated around the block and came home. Then some of Paul's friends got here and they went trick or treating to. A little after we came home Stephanie, Ben Beth, and Paul got home and we all crowded around Ben as he chuckled and showed off! Then Paul and his friends ( Elimar, Arel, and Micheal ) went to go get Dark Shadows which we then watched. I thought it was pretty good! Anyways that's it for now, Goodbye

Baking Fun!
Dear audience today I made the best way to welcome fall. Sweet Potato Biscuits! They are without a doubt the best biscuits ever. Sadly as you can see I put them in before the oven was preheated so they got very done in the bottom. But if you dip them in water they are better ( seriously I know it sounds weird but it is tasty ) and of course I had to give you the Foodie word for the day. Well since there weren't very many pictures I'll give you the recipe,
Sweet Potato Biscuits
2 3/4 C. Flour
4 t. Baking Powder
1 t. Salt
1/2 t. Cinnaman
1/2 t. Nutmeg
2 Cs,Mashed Sweet Potato's
3/4 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Butter Melted
1 t. Vanilla Extract
In large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, Cinnamon, and nutmeg. In a smaller bowl, combine sweet potato, sugar, butter and vanilla; add to flour mixture and mix well. Turn onto lightly floured surface; knead slightly roll dough. Cut with a round cup or cookie cutter and place on lightly greased pan. Bake at 450 for 12 minutes. Then enjoy!!

Dinner Adventure
Since school started I've been making dinner every other week. This meal was called chicken pasta with artichokes. I think I could have used less noodles but it was still pretty good. It didn't take long to make and it was actually very easy so I think it was a good choice, also I think it would have been good with a sauce because it was a bit bland. Stay tuned for next time with " The Chef " and I'll make something even more delectable.

Colorado Trip
It says " your travel choices within the next year will bring serendipity" |
The castle at Glen Eyrie. |
I will start off by saying sooo sorry I haven't written in forever! Our camera has been having some troubles, and we have been pretty busy.
Enough of that, these are pictures of our awesome annual Colorado trip! It was seven days long, we started out in the Marriott for one night in Fort Collins Co., then moved on to the YMCA of the Rockies! We were in a cabin called the Three Sisters! I got to sleep on the top bunk which was very exciting, plus dad would always build fires and make amazing breakfasts. As you an see in the pictures we played putt putt Golf my score was +5. After two nights in the cabin we drove down to Co. Springs and Glen Eyrie where we spent most of our days drawing and reading. We also went to a wonderful German Bakery named Wimbergers! Well I should probably go Auf Wiedersehen.

The Yummy World of Parfaits
So I realize that parfaits are not the most gourmet thing but they are delicious and who said I had to be gourmet? So today I am going to tell you how to make the best parfaits you've ever had! First you get out three of your fanciest cups or whatever you can find, then you cut up one and a half peaches ( preferably white peaches cause they are the best ) after that you put one layer of yogurt in the bottom of your glass, one layer of granola, then one layer of peaches. Repeat until the glass is full top with redi whip! Adieu to everyone.
