Flashback to the 50's with piggy's in a blanket

                     I am so sorry that I've not written in forever. We have had a very busy week. You see we had a garage sale and just trying to get life back to normal after we went to Cleveland, and guess what!!!!!! We are going to leave for Omaha on Saturday! But it is going to be a really fun trip. We are going to a graduation for a really good friend of the family. Going to their house is always like a party! Well what you see in the pictures are piggys in a blanket, very delicious and super easy! All you have to do is get Pillsbury cresent rolls, roll them out, and put hotdogs in the middle and bake for however long the package says to!! Also did anyone notice our Fifties outfits today? I know, super cool! Well got to go.

                   So I can't write much right now but you should know ( if you haven't figured it out yet ) that we drove to Cleveland for Alan and Stephanie's Wedding! Ann, Beth, Carolyn, and I were bridesmaids. The pictures are some highlights of our trip. We traveled through Indianapolis, St. Louis, Colombus, and Cleveland. Well got to go.

So it will probably be awhile before I post again because tomerrow we leave for Cleveland. You may be wondering " why are you going to Cleveland?" well my brother is getting married!!!! And we are going to be in the wedding !!! But today is going to hectic because so far we have nothing packed or ready to go. Well I have got to go

On friday Miss Libby Pratte came over! We had pizza's of course, and played barbies ( one of the best pass times ) and watched to catch a thief one of my favorite movies!! Yesterday we went to church and had lunch at wheat feilds after a long stroll through the church with Libby while the whole time my family was looking for me. Then went to a boba tea place and shared a wonderful stawberry/honey mix with carolyn, it was delicous. Then came home and played sims. Then made queso dip and had cantolope salsa while watching puss in boots. It was good. Well got to go.

A Late Easter Surprise

            So I know it's a little late to be posting a  Easter post, but I just wanted to show how our Easter went! First we had empty tomp rolls and went to church. Then came home and a really big Easter meal! Then had a awesome Easter egg ( or Huevo de pascua ) hunt and drank tea. Then we had mutiple nerf hunger games terniments ( with tea time breaks!!! ) till very late when we watched a parks and rec and went to bed!! Happy Easter Late!!!

Making Snicker Doodles



Mix together sugar, butter, and eggs 



In small bowl mix dry ingredients. Then add to butter mixture



Roll cookie balls in cinnamon sugar.



 Snicker Doodles

Mix Together

1C Shorting softened

11/2 C Sugar

2 Eggs

Stir In:

2 3/4 C Flour

2 tsp Cream of Tartar

1 tsp B. Soda

1/2 tsp Salt

      Chill dough. Roll into balls. Roll in mix of 2 tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon. Bake 8-10 minutes, at 400. Makes about 5 dozen.

               Yesterday was a nothing day. I did some piano and made banana bread but got no school done!! I will try to get more done today but I probably won't! Becca Labat came over and we talked and took a walk with Mom, Dad, and Carolyn then I watched earn lots of money on sims, But it was a really fun day. Well got to go.

               On Saturday, Alan and Stephanie came over and made us panini's! They where so good, real italian panini's. They had brie, chicken, sauted tomatoes, and spinach.
              Yesterday was my grandpa's funaral. Afterwards we went to our cousin's house and stuffed ourselves till we could not eat another bite! They had these pastry cream cheese chicken things that where soooo good I ate so many! Then came home and watched Much Ado About Nothing! I love that movie! Then  carolyn and I went to the library and I got some Tintin books. Well got to go.

Dyeing Eggs



                              Dyeing eggs is so much fun! Every year we get out the colors and dye eggs! I always try to make the best and prettiest eggs. This year I accidently kept on dropping them. ( seriously it always was a accident
                           Today we went to our Aunt and Uncle's for a Easter egg hunt in the coutry. It's a big thing and all our relatives on our dad's side come. And we have lots of food. ( really good food )  we talk and eat and after we are done and stuffed, we run outside into a feild with tall grass and look for eggs! There's candy, silly putty, and bracelets for the girls! Our family always brings the same thing, hash browns yum!!! Sadly it rained but don't worry we just played inside until it dried. Well have to go

                        Our grandpa Gilbert died yesterday, he was a great guy, and an amazing grandpa. He was funny, helpful, and always trying to learn new things. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer about a mouth or two ago. He fell yesterday and didn't rally. He was inspiring and everybody liked him, he loved learning about his computer, and figuring out how to do the internet on it! He loved his wife, his family, and his afternoon coffee and donuts with friends. His wife was devoted to him in fact everyone was! We were talking and decieded he was just a magnetic guy. As you can see in the pictures he almost always wore the same sweater with a little crocodile on it! But we know he is in a place where he can breath and run marithons and he doesn't hurt!!!
