Happy Birthday Julia Child!

So on August 15th Julia's birthday, I made a spice cake with apples, white chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting on top! We dressed up like Simone Beck (Carolyn) and Julia Child (me). Then went to multiple libraries looking for Julie and Julia dressed in heels and skirts/a dress. We did eventually find it and proceeded to watch it. But only after listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole to get into the right spirit. Overall a wonderful night and I suggest if you didn't this year you should celebrate it next year. And now I think I might just finish My Life In France. Anyways that's all for now, Bon Appetit!

Birthday's and Sleepovers.

On Friday some friends ( Libby and Lindsey ) came over to celebrate my sister's birthday. We got all dolled up and went to the Plaza for dinner at the Brio! Then to Anthropologie to try on cute clothes and then to Barnes and Noble though there are no pictures there. We came home opened some awesome packages. Then watched Breakfast at Tiffanie's! Which I highly recommend. It had some sketchy parts but it was still very fun! In the morning we made farmstead waffles they were delicious! Well got to go blog again soon!

Birthday Parties

On the eighth we had a birthday party for my Dad and my Grandpa. I made their-favorite Cherry Cheesecake! It's not hard at all so I'll write down the recipe.

Cherry Cheesecake

Crust,
1 1/4 Graham Cracker
3 T. Sugar
1/4 Melted Butter

Mix in bowl set aside about 3 T. of the mixture then press into 8in. pan. Bake for 8 min. at 375.

Filling,

1 8oz. pkg Cream Cheese
1 pkg Cool Whip
1/4 White Sugar
1 t. Vanilla
 1 Can Cherries

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in mixing bowl until well blended. Then add cool whip and fold
in slowly. When all the clumps are gone put on top of cracker crust and spread gently. Then spread the  cherries over the top. Next, take the remaining cracker crust and dust the top. Good Bye for now Enjoy!
