Lately...

So lately I have been cooking, nothing special but very tasty nonetheless. Basically what this is, is homemade polenta with cheese, sausage, and bacon on the top. It's a very hearty and meat to the bones type meal great for Winter, and real quick.
Today we went to Half Price Books and I got a new cook book called comfort food. It's jam packed with recipes that make you want to curl up surrender to your (becoming more prominent) muffin-top. Mine of course, I'm sure that none of you have any! Also be on the look out for these, hopefully coming soon... Cronuts, and Homemade blueberry pancakes!

And coming soon my broseph's wedding to a absolutely amazing girl. Quite the fun day, and I can't wait to show you all. Well that's all for now folks, and I want to end by saying don't you just hate it when your chewing mint gum and super thirsty, but then you realize that it'll burn real bad if you drink water? Haha auf wiedersehen und willkommen herbst

I Think Spring Might Actually be Here!

So, for dinner tonight we had our first picnic on the back porch. Hamburgers, corn on the cob, and a top notch salad. As you can see Beth and I were having a great time. Plus notice the two dog bun! It tastes delicious I would definitely recommend using two hot dogs. Anyways after that joy I headed to our roof to read some of my current series and... To eat some more! ( I am growing so I need lots of nourishment.) Today was extremely nice and just windy enough to not be to hot. What I'm trying to say is it was a little bit of heaven. Well got to go, Brigadoon downstairs is calling me! Until next time.

Then to Anthropologie to try on cute clothes and then to Barnes and Noble though there are no pictures there. We came home opened some awesome packages. Then watched Breakfast at Tiffanie's! Stuffed Shells

My mom and I have started this thing were I cook dinner every so often and on Thursday ( haven't gotten to posting in a while ) I made stuffed shells. It was very fun the stuffing of the shells would have taken for ever though if it weren't for a awesome team of stuffer's! So definitely get a group for that unless you have a lot of time. And as I always say it was very easy and extremely delicious! The last week has been pretty normal, this week is going to be really hectic with valentines day and my sister's birthday. I'm very excited it's going to be a good week. that's all for now

                                                   Happy Early Valentine's Day!

Birthday Parties

On the eighth we had a birthday party for my Dad and my Grandpa. I made their-favorite Cherry Cheesecake! It's not hard at all so I'll write down the recipe.

Cherry Cheesecake

Crust,
1 1/4 Graham Cracker
3 T. Sugar
1/4 Melted Butter

Mix in bowl set aside about 3 T. of the mixture then press into 8in. pan. Bake for 8 min. at 375.

Filling,

1 8oz. pkg Cream Cheese
1 pkg Cool Whip
1/4 White Sugar
1 t. Vanilla
 1 Can Cherries

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in mixing bowl until well blended. Then add cool whip and fold
in slowly. When all the clumps are gone put on top of cracker crust and spread gently. Then spread the  cherries over the top. Next, take the remaining cracker crust and dust the top. Good Bye for now Enjoy!

Baking Fun!

Dear audience today I made the best way to welcome fall. Sweet Potato Biscuits! They are without a doubt the best biscuits ever. Sadly as you can see I put them in before the oven was preheated so they got very done in the bottom. But if you dip them in water they are better ( seriously I know it sounds weird but it is tasty ) and  of course I had to give you the Foodie word for the day. Well since there weren't very many pictures I'll give you the recipe,

Sweet Potato Biscuits
2 3/4 C. Flour
4 t. Baking Powder
1 t. Salt
1/2 t. Cinnaman
1/2 t. Nutmeg
2 Cs,Mashed Sweet Potato's
3/4 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Butter Melted
1 t. Vanilla Extract

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, Cinnamon, and nutmeg. In a smaller bowl, combine sweet potato, sugar, butter and vanilla; add to flour mixture and mix well. Turn onto lightly floured surface; knead slightly roll dough. Cut with a round cup or cookie cutter and place on lightly greased pan. Bake at 450 for 12 minutes. Then enjoy!!

Dinner Adventure

Since school started I've been making dinner every other week. This meal was called chicken pasta with artichokes. I think I could have used less noodles but it was still pretty good. It didn't take long to make and it was actually very easy so I think it was a good choice, also I think it would have been good with a sauce because it was a bit bland. Stay tuned for next time with " The Chef " and I'll make something even more delectable.

Passover Meal

So you cannot tell in the picture but the oil in the bottom of the pan was popping like crazy! My hands have little second degree burns all over them! I am not going to show you the recipe because that would be horrible. There would be a mass break out of our roast beef and then nobody would come to our house for dinner!
Bowser ( the little dog we babysit ) is having a sleepover for the week at our house
since his owner is out of town. Paul has been waiting on him hand and foot!! Well got to go
